【#南伊豆】と言えば妻良。と言っていいほど、きれいな場所。写真のように柱状節理がごろごろしていたり、火山の内部構造が見られる崖が妻良港の周りにはありいます。本来ならば、海上から見られたらいいんでしょうけども、陸上からでも見ごたえあります。 http://ow.ly/i/O5bm

【#日向】これを見るには、伊豆修善寺 #ポマトランド を目指してくるといいでしょう。車で近くまで行くのは、ちょっと至難の業ですが、大平のドライブインさんがあるいは車を置かせてくれるかもしれませんし、旭滝も近くにありますので、そこに車を置かせてもらって近づくといいかと思います。

【#牛臥】沼津の御用邸付近でちょっと寄り道。牛臥山公園があり、ここから沼津アルプス、達磨山、大瀬崎と見渡せます。明治の昔から、御用邸だけでなく、偉人たちが別荘を構える風光明媚な場所です。駿河湾の最奥部にも近く、ゆったりとした海辺です。http://twitpic.com/ea0n8h

【#牛臥】海岸には海底火山だった溶岩が崩れ、転がっています。実際には火山の形が侵食によって削られて、とんがった形で残っています。岩石の種類としては、流紋岩とのことなので、溶岩ドームの一部が残っているという方が近いかな。http://twitpic.com/ea0o0x

【#牛臥】ガスが抜けた後があるのは火山性の岩の特徴ですが、ここの岩には不思議と大きな穴があいています。これは、タフォニーと呼ばれるもののようで、塩の結晶が大きくなることで広げられたものだとか。http://twitpic.com/ea0ph1

【#牛臥】この山をつくる岩石は流紋岩。伊豆ジオパークを巡ってきた中では珍しく、粘り気の強いマグマからできている証拠。みなさんの記憶でいうと、#雲仙普賢岳 とか、#溶岩ドーム を作った火山と同じタイプの溶岩ということになります。http://twitpic.com/ea7abv
